How we collectively raise thousands from individual donors online.

Crowdfunding has been defined as “the practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people.” You may have heard of some of the sites like Indiegogo, Kickstarter, Razoo, or Crowdrise; there are hundreds of other platforms, and more forming since the passage of the JOBS Act in 2012.

Join us on Tuesday, February 26th to hear the stories of people and projects who have raised between $2,000 and $20,000 over in days or weeks. Hear from multiple presenters — tell their stories of the planning, outreach and organizing that they have used to raise thousands of dollars online — including:

Anthony Jewett of the Tides Foundation in San Francisco
Noah Rubin-Blose of Bread Uprising in Durham.

This is the fourth of four calls in the For Us By Us series of learning calls co-hosted by the Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training and the Community Investment Network about fundraising and grassroots donors in communities of color.
